Q: Dodge Charger??????????
I’m thinking about getting a Dodge Charger. What are some of the pros and cons to this car. Should I get one and what model?

A: If you aren’t getting the R/T, there are no pros.

Cons – Not comfortable, average (at best) reliability, poor mileage, overpriced, very heavy vehicle. Too many better cars in its class.

Q: dodge charger?
if the charger is RWD but it has traction contral would it be driveable in winter

A: I have the magnum which is the same setup, and it is fine in winter driving. Just have to be careful, and you will feel the traction control working when the wheels begin to slip.

Q: dodge charger?
i want to buy a car, and i love the look of the charger,

or is the charger a good choice

A: Nothing can match the Charger!

Q: dodge charger?
who have a dodge cherger??

A: In florida the have chargers and magnums

Q: Dodge Charger $$$?
Will a charger (year 2005-2007) be an affordable car for a 16-17yr old in 2-3 years?
Well..I wont crash :D

A: Domestic used car prices are always going to drop. But when you ask specifically of the Dodge Charger, you need to factor in the different models. 2.7L – 3.5L = 250 HP – 5.7L = 350 HP – 6.1LSRT = 425 HP…The bigger the engine the more HP/Dollars in insurance costs. You be the judge as to what is expensive or cost effective.

Q: dodge charger???
this week i going to get a paint job for my 72′ charger should i paint it black with a red RT strip or red with a black RT strip

A: If you’re going to go with the stripe kit after all, then paint red with the black stripe. The black with red would be sharp, but owning a black car will show dust & dirt faster than any other color. What color is your interior by the way & are you going with a vinyl roof or hard top?

Here’s the info I gave you on another question you had about decals & stripes.
I’d given you info before on another answer about how to decode your VIN & Fender Tag Codes. Here’s the link for that

This will let you know what options that came with your vehicle.

I have a ‘73 SE, but it has a different 1/4 window trim package than yours. Dodge stopped making the R/T in ‘71, then made the “Rallye” from ‘72-’74.
I wouldn’t put a stripe kit on it unless it was originally optioned that way, or if I were attempting to clone an R/T.
The R/T also had the blackout on the hood as well. The hood was a “Power Bulge” version & not a flat version. The Rallye was the same way.

To get an idea of how the kits look, I’ll give you a few links to check out.
Year One which shows a ‘71 R/T with the Stripe/Decal package.

I’m not discouraging you from putting any stripes or decals on, but give it serious thought before doing so.

Good luck!

Q: Dodge Charger?
Are 1969 Dodge Carger RTs good cars??

A: I love mine. I bought in 1990 (20 years after I fell in love with it) and have nothing be loads of fun with it. I can watch the gas needle drop when I drop the gas pedal.

B5 Blue, black vinyl roof, 440/727 auto, 3:55 rear with mag 500 wheels. Can’t take it out unless I have plenty of extra time to talk to people about it.

Q: How much does it cost to fill up a 2006 dodge charger?
I plan on purchasing a 2006 dodge charger its a v6 3.5..I was wondering how much does it cost to fill it up? Thanks!
gas in michigan is about $3.95

A: 19 Gallon Tank x $3.95 = $75.05. Give or take.

Get about 18 and 26 mpg.

Q: Why do the Dodge Charger police cars have black roofs?
Why do the Dodge Charger police cars have black roofs? Police cars always had white roofs, not black.
(The black ones with the white doors)

A: Each police department has their own color scheme for the cruisers. Now many use white cars with decals, rather than custom paint, but others still have the custom paint jobs. The roof can be any color that the department wants.

Apparently the department in question decided to buy black cars and have the doors painted rather than buying white cars and painting the quarter panels, fenders hood and deck lid. Most likely this was done to save money

Q: dodge charger?

A: Old 70’s ones are good. The new ones shouldn’t be called Chargers. Chargers should be 2 door coupes, not sedans.

Q: Can you help me change a fuse on my dodge charger?
I have 2007 base model dodge charger and the tail light fuses keep burning out, I have to go on a long car ride tonight and it’s not safe! I know where the fuse panel is (under the hood) but what fuse do I change?
The car dealership says I have past front end damage that’s causing the wires to blow fuses, they had to change fuses 2 times and it lasts for about a day

A: I know my first suggestion won’t help with tonight’s drive, but it will save you a lot of hassle in the long run to get the electrical problem fixed entirely. Did you buy the car this way?

Anyway, I found your owner’s/service manual on the Dodge website. It looks like your blown fuse might be in cavity 19. It is a 10 amp red fuse. Pull this one out of the box, using tweezers or pliers if needed. If the metal link inside the fuse is separated, that means it’s blown. Put a new 10 amp red fuse in there, close the box properly, and you’re set to go.

If that fuse *isn’t* blown, you’ll have to check other ones till you find the one that is blown. Your manual says that cavity 29 also supplies power to your stop lights. It uses a 5 amp orange fuse.

By the way — I didn’t see “tail lights” listed in the fuse chart. All I saw was “stop lights”, so that’s where I’m getting the information.

Q: How to add horse-power to 2008 Dodge Charger?
I have a 2008 Dodge Charger (base) with a 2.7 liter V6 (I know, small) but I bought it already and want to add some horsepower to the car to make it a little more peppy. Could someone please provide me with a list of things I can do and buy for the vehicle to make it go much better?

A: there’s not really a lot available for ht 2.7 in the, line of performance parts,Chrysler just don’t look at the 2.7 as being anything that can be made in to a power house, the most you can do is add better exhaust and maybe improve on the air intake system, you can spend a thousand bucks on that one and still not be satisfied with horse power, good luck.

Q: dodge charger….,……….?
how fast could they go with the most extreme upgrades.

A: Jet motor again. You have to more specific to get a good answer. Extreme to you may be wimpy to me.
