Q: how much does it cost to ship a small suv from arizona to new jersey in winter months?
I am purchasing a small SUV (BMW x3) which I am going to be shipping to new jersey. I plan to have the back seats folded down and boxes with personal items in the car (ie. clothing, dvd’s, kitchen items, etc.). What can I expect to pay if I ship in January 2011 and is there a better time to ship in the winter months? First hand knowledge (and not something from a website) would be greatly appreciated.

A: If this gives you any idea, I had an Explorer shipped on a truck from Chicago to Spokane for about 900 dollars. It was protected in an enclosed truck. Check with major moving companies. They can usually point you in the right direction. Be careful of Uhaul. There are many vehicles that they won’t let you tow. Mine was one of them.
